Lindsey Cole, Project Mananger

Lindsey's background is mostly in outreach and education with an emphasis on environmental issues. She has a master's degree in International Non-profit Management through study in Honolulu, Hawai`i,  London, England and Guadalajara, Mexico. While living in London, she served as the Education Officer at a textile recycling organization- working in the local community to promote recycling and reuse of clothing and researching topics to present to the public on the downsides of fast fashion, greenwashing, and textile waste.

She returned to the US to work at Conservation Corps North Bay as the Site Supervisor for an education program.  The program's goal was to  take local youth in the field to complete conservation projects like native tree planting, invasive plant removal, school garden tending and other projects managed by local municipalities and nonprofits - while learning about the environment and stewardship.

Lindsey has created and implemented grant-funded programs through the University of Hawai`i, managed tutoring programs with local school districts in Northern California and Western Washington, and coordinated outreach efforts for several organizations and individuals.

In 2014, Lindsey moved to Washington State and has since served as an independent contractor, most recently working on an environmental initiative, with a local attorney, and several startups in the Seattle area.  She regularly liaises with politicians, small business owners, investors, academic institutions, and nonprofits to help achieve goals and manage programs.

Lindsey enjoys nature and gardening. On her time off she can be found exploring the beauty of the Pacific Northwest or walking on the trail with her Xoloitzcuintli, or "Mexican Hairless" dog. She also tutors local students and writes blogs for a local lifestyle website.
